A new pour
A new pour is the conversation when the parking area is still gravel or dirt. Say that plainly so it is not priced as a tear-out.
Concrete driveway Edmond covers a new pour or a replacement on a house lot, and the City of Edmond drive-approach permit where the drive meets the street. Oklahoma City’s apron rules do not apply in Edmond. Call or text 405-913-6183. Send the street address and photos of the drive, the garage edge, and where it meets the street.
Concrete driveway Edmond, on this page, means a driveway at an Edmond house: a new pour, or a replacement of an existing drive. A replacement adds tear-out and haul-off. The concrete on the private lot and the approach in the public right-of-way are often two conversations. A written number still comes from the address, not a square-foot rate on a website. We review the lot before anyone writes a number, and we do not take every job. It is not a commercial approach or a foundation.
Broader notes for the city stay on concrete work in Edmond. A new pour, a widening, and extra parking on an Oklahoma City lot stay on concrete driveway Oklahoma City. Tear-out under Oklahoma City’s rules is on driveway replacement in Oklahoma City. Those Oklahoma City pages do not set the permit rules for an Edmond approach.
These are the same forks already on the driveway pages. They are questions for the address. They are not a diagnosis from a photo, and this page does not add a thickness, a mix, or a base recipe.

On this site, replacement adds demolition and disposal. Ask what has to come out — concrete, asphalt, gravel, or dirt — and where that material goes. Haul-off, a tight gate, and matching yard grade so water does not turn toward the house are the items that usually move the conversation. Name the approach as its own item if it might change.
Curved approaches should be measured along usable edges rather than treated as simple rectangles. Record slope from street to garage, gates, retaining edges, and any visible low points. Keep HOA questions open until the exact address and scope are reviewed.
Whether the job is new work or replacement, and whether the private slab and the street approach are one job or two. Photos help the first call. They do not diagnose soil movement from this website.
The City of Edmond’s “Do I Need a Building Permit?” graphic lists “Driveway approach and sidewalk flags associated with the driveway within public rights-of-way” as work that needs a permit. That line is listed for do-it-yourself work and for work a contractor does. The graphic gives Building & Fire Code Services as 405.359.4780. The contractor license page lists the same main office phone as (405) 359-4780.
On the Miscellaneous Permits page, the driveway item — the image alt text is “M. Driveway” — lists “Remove & replace of existing drive approach” and “Additional drive approach.”
The City of Edmond Fee Schedule, Dept. of Building & Safety, is a PDF created January 27, 2026. In the residential section, “Drive Approach (each curb cut or sidewalk section)” is $50.00. On that same residential section, the row “Construction Started without Appropriate Permit(s)” is “3x Cost of Permit Total.” The commercial section uses a different label, “Construction Started without Proper Permit(s),” also at 3x the permit total. The $50 figure is a City fee. It is not a price for a driveway. This page does not publish a job price.
The City’s Driveways page publishes construction drawings: Portland concrete driveway; Portland concrete driveway with existing curb and gutter; and a residential driveway on a street without curb. There is also an “All Driveway Drawings” link. Those drawings are scans. Read them on the City’s page. This page does not quote dimensions from them.
The Online Portal Applications page says: “Engineering permits are required for various types of construction, including projects involving utilities, roadways, drainage systems, and any work in the public right-of-way.” An Engineering Work Order on that page covers roadway items that include “sidewalks, approaches.” A Right-of-Way Permit covers “any work in the public right-of-way, including streets, sidewalks, or utility easements.” For those engineering permits, the page says a pre-construction meeting must be held before any work begins, and that the assigned inspector shall be notified no less than three working days before construction is to start. Ask which of those permits, if any, this approach needs, in addition to the drive-approach line on the Building & Safety fee schedule. Engineering Inspections on that page is (405) 359-4770, option 4.
Permit Submissions says permit requests must be submitted through the online portal, plan review fees are paid at the time of application, and “Do not send pre-payment with submissions.” The portal named on that page, on the fee schedule, and on the contractor license page is permits.edmondok.gov. The same Permit Submissions page posts an October 1, 2026 notice of a mandatory slab inspection for new residential building permits. That notice is about new residential building permits. It is not a driveway rule on this page.
A general building contractor’s license is required for permit submittal.
City of Edmond, Contractor and Trade License. The same page says residential building contractors must maintain current general liability and workman’s compensation for permit submittal.
OKC Flatwork has not published an Edmond license number on this site. This page does not say that OKC Flatwork holds an Edmond general building contractor license, or that OKC Flatwork submits Edmond permits. Ask the contractor you talk to for the license and for the name of the person who submits the permit.
Ask these questions of any contractor you talk to. The paperwork has to be shown for the address. Do not treat this page as that paperwork.
Text the street address plus photos of the full drive from the street, the garage edge, and where the concrete meets the curb. If the approach curves, measure along the usable edges rather than treating it as a rectangle, and note the slope from the street to the garage. Call or text 405-913-6183. A person follows up from this address. Nothing is booked from this page.
Keep the rest of the decision on the existing pages. Broader Edmond planning notes are on concrete work in Edmond. An Oklahoma City new pour is on concrete driveway Oklahoma City. An Oklahoma City tear-out is on driveway replacement in Oklahoma City.
Open any question for the planning answer. Property-specific method, price, timing, and permit paperwork still have to be confirmed for the address.

The residential section of the City of Edmond Fee Schedule, Dept. of Building & Safety (PDF created January 27, 2026), lists “Drive Approach (each curb cut or sidewalk section)” at $50.00. This page does not publish a job price.

OKC Flatwork has not published an Edmond license number on this site. This page does not say that OKC Flatwork holds that license or submits Edmond permits. Ask the contractor to show the license and to say who submits the permit.
Edmond uses the City of Edmond pages linked here. The license and permit notes on the Oklahoma City driveway pages are Oklahoma City rules. Ask which Edmond permit the address needs.
